• ​​Steve and Karen have lived in Mahtomedi for 39 years.  Their children, Megan Malvey and Doug Wolgamot and their families all live nearby .  Our four grandchildren, Ryan and Kaili Malvey and Hailey and Lola Wolgamot, are all proud Zephyrs.

  • Community Involvement.  Steve has served the following organizations and efforts:
    • Schools - School Board 2000-2014 - Academic Growth, Fiscal Solvency, Wildwood School
    • Schools - 1980-1992 - Worker or Chair in all levy and bond elections
    • Mahtomedi Area Educational Foundation, Founding board member 1988, Pres 1991-1994
    • St. Andrews Lutheran Church - Church Council 1979-1985, Choir 1988-2000
    • Lake Links Association - A founder and leader of the effort for a safe path around the lake
    • Road safety advocacy - Improved safety at Ash, crosswalk at Neptune, Safe Routes to School
    • Neighborway Paths - Inventor of this concept, two neighborway paths so far
    • White Bear Center for the Arts - Board 2015-2017, Treasurer
    • Mahtomedi Basketball Association, Incorporator 1986, Board and Coach, 1986-1992
